Datomic gives Pellucid control over how and when it distributes infor- mation to bankers. For example, the team gets financial data updates every hour but doesn’t make them visible until after the markets close. Pellucid performs updates as they come in, preserves that moment in time, then flips the switch when they want the data to be available to customers.
